big fan of urban fantasy and similar genres because theres nothing funnier to me than a setting where youve got people fighting with enchanted blades and bows and hopping around doing magic tricks but you can also just hit a demon with your car if you feel like it
Fandom Problem #4205:
Why do people feel the need to invent issues where there really are none? If two characters have no confirmed ages but could reasonably be guessed to be in their mid 20's, there's no reason to go "WELL UM. What if one of them is a teenager and one is in their thirties huh??" Or, they could both be in their 20s and you're trying to make an issue out of nothing. Or when two characters aren't related but "I SEE them as family." Okay. You "seeing" them as family does not actually make them family. It literally doesn't matter, just leave people alone.
Hey! I’m gonna assume you guys like using Tumblr correct? What about AO3? TikTok? Or any other platform that fandom spaces thrive? Then you need to give a fuck about the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA).
KOSA is a act currently being talked about in congress that is labeled as a act that prevents minors from seeing 18+ content. It being labeled as that seems okay and good, yes, but that’s not what this bill is about.
KOSA, if put in place, will make so the attorney general of each state gets to pick which platforms will be banned in their state. And this doesn’t been censorship of minors, this means censorship of everyone of ALL AGES.
“My attorney general wouldn’t ban this sites.” Yes, they might not. But don’t think about yourself right now. MILLIONS of people will be without spaces to escape too. Millions of people will be without access to websites that allows them to talk to people. Millions of queer people wouldn’t be allowed on to places they were originally welcomed.
“Okay? But they’re only trying to ban nsfw content?” And what do all republications see as nsfw? Queer people. Especially trans people.
KOSA is just another bill that will allow nation wide bans on topics such as sex, gender, sexuality, and more. This act does nothing more except erase queer people from online spaces, and further pushes the anti-trans beliefs (and genocide) circling our country right now.
Y’all need to give a shit about this bill like you should still be giving a shit about the RESTRICT ACT (which still hasn’t been turned down yet btw).
This act opens the door from any site such of tumblr and quotev to be banned, to YouTube if your AG doesn’t like it for ANY reason. And don’t forget, VPN’s can only do so much, and the government already wants to ban those.
What can you do? CALL YOUR FUCKING CONGRESS REPS. EMAIL THEM. I don’t give a shit, all I care about is this bill that doesn’t speak for the people getting blocked and not being put in place. Bills like this further push our nations descent into facism. And if there’s a way to prevent that, we better fucking do it.
Since there's a new sock playbook happening and it's slightly different than the old one, thought I'd nip this one in the bud.
In the past week three (3) different blogs have been made to rebuttal my and other's posts about the theory that Callum will free Aaravos. Which, fair enough - people can disagree and if I don't like what someone is adding to my posts, I can block 'em on both my side AND my main.
But, granted, that only works if the person respects the blocking boundary.
So here are some of the new signs:
- Blog has left the old 'three words mashed together' schtick and is implementing a usually 2 word TDP themed mashup
- Blogs are all mostly TDP with another fandom worked in
- Blog is randomly made, reblogs posts in the other fandom, and then makes their foray onto one of my or other's posts to rebuttal
Known potential socks (in order of apparent appearance):
Virenhunter. Seemingly made on August 17th, reblogged my posts and others. Lied about wanting to not clog up my notifications since I was OP of the post they were arguing on and I had blocked them (simply because, so they had to make a new post - which is fair - but then offered up a false excuse.)
Dragonrecap. The similar naming structure, quick appearance, and reblogging one of my posts to be contrarian in such close order is what initially made me suspicious this was a sock / burgeoning harassment situation.
Moonabovemoon. Same previous tells, also recently made, reblogged one of my clearly theorizing but also very much joking posts (note my own tags of "tone gets increasingly unhinged" and hordika asking a question of how I have also answered many many times re: Callum doing it to save a loved one).
As always, I don't really care if people disagree, but it's obtuse to 1) shove it onto multiple posts, 2) ignore blocking boundaries by making socks to get around it, and 3) specifically, repeatedly target things I've made or posted (mocking my "predictions achieved" tag when it's existed since 2019 and has had nothing to do with these theories until they started happening, mocking a post I made where I mentioned s5 being like a victory lap for my characterization of Callum not really caring about being Lied To when 5x01 proved that too, etc). when I tag everything accordingly in multiple ways for tag blocking purposes, I encourage people to block me, and you can use tumblr saviour to ensure you don't see any of my posts unfiltered on your dash.
Either way: PSA for the fandom, the usual old tells of "isn't Rayla so cute and small and Callum is so strong and principled," has a new front. He cannot / refuses to be reasoned with, cannot manage to have a respectful disagreement without either losing his cool or playing the victim when he's called out for it, and has a habit of targeting marginalized creators in particular (which given the sexism towards Rayla makes perfect sense). Best thing to do is just block and not engage as much as you can, and keep on enjoying the various theories and interpretations you like in peace. 👍

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for changing how I view men and masculinity, because of your art I find beauty in it now where I used to find only disdain
iliothermia answered:
That makes me happy! Masculinity that’s comfortable with its relationship to femininity is very important to me. I feel like femininity and masculinity have so much in common that insecure people push hard to starkly differentiate- and I think masculinity that’s at peace with itself is a bit harder to notice past the endless loud and negative examples.
I hope you can continue to find more positive and beautiful masculinity in your world! Thank you again 💗
I want to say that with trans folk now being at risk of the fucking death sentence in Florida....
The time for community is Now. The time to start planning and organizing how to get our rights back is NOW. bring it up at your local LGBT craft events or book club or support group or whatever. Tell your friends. Spread the word. And maybe see which ones will have the safety and resources you'll need should a Lavender Hunt happen in your area.
And on the scarier end of reality....
This is fucking terrifying. Lots of people are at risk. Personally, I'm terrified this rhetoric will spread much like Trumpism did. I'm scared for my gf and I'm fucking scared for myself because we know historically that it isn't just trans folk on HRT or drag performers that they go after.
And you have every right to do whatever you need to protect yourself.
I'm not going to shame folks who quit HRT, who take the rainbows out of their bio, the people who start saying partner instead of revealing a gender, or anyone else taking a few steps towards the safety that the closet provides. WE shouldn't.
I fucking love you. And we'll be okay as long as we're together, okay?
We keep us safe
This is what I'm talking about for the people unaware.
I looked up the lavender scare last night and was sadly unsurprised to see that the last time the community came together...was a lavender scare.
Pride was a riot because the government started doing to us then what Florida is doing to us now. It was triggered when a man was fired from his job on grounds of being gay and tried to take it to court.
This is why we have pride. This is why "think of the children" is/was an awful rhetoric to push at leather daddies and drag queens. It's not just a bad opinion or stupid discourse, it's a talking point for the right wing to justify fucking kill us.
It was never "just discourse" it was a right wing psyop to cripple us from coming together to fight against attacks just like this.
Your enemies aren't other queer people with labels you don't like. Those are your allies. Because you know who else doesn't like them?
Nazis.
And they don't like you either even if you have a "normal" queer identity and you don't make it "your whole personality" or whatever.
You're both still queer. And that's all they care about. Trying to placate bigots wont save you. Quit playing the part of "acceptable gay" and throwing everyone else under the bus.
Besides, that they WERE thinking of the children when they started those riots dressed in stuff that makes you squirm. They were thinking of You. Of your life. Your children. Queer children.
- Broke: think of the children
- Woke: think of where you'd be right now if Drag queens and leather daddies weren't there to throw that first brick. Think about about all the other people currently at risk of being killed through the Same Exact method that you had the privilege of escaping, precisely because of the people you can't stand.
Hey y'all please reblog this version so people can see the article and explanation, there are a few confused people only seeing earlier versions that dont explain the connection/threat because it doesn't have the article.
An interstate rainbow railroad.
For those unaware that's this. It's been done before.
A lot of people are scared. And I really, really want you to know that the riots started because someone scared asked for help and people answered
It wasn't organized. It just happened. People decided to risk it at a moments notice.
This is ours. And we've done it before.
Stormé Delariverie, the Stonewall Lesbian that triggered it all.
And everyone who was there for her.
Were just like us
So how do we do this?
I played that level in Mario Kart but that was it. I wanna be there for you, we all do, how do we do that?
I bet one of us could call and just ask. Who doesn't have anxiety. Oh wait it's posted on their site :)
Kinda reads like a How To 👀
Find your niche and offer it.
People need help, you figure out how/who can, and then you follow through.
- Can you drive
- have gas money
- have extra food
- Got some clothes or meds
- An extra bed or couch
- maybe even an extra property or hotel room to spare?
- Do you have money for those things?
- maybe you're able to connect people with needs to people who can help?
- can you share/spread posts asking for help?
- Or may you can just make them some tea while the host of the house is out cuz they don't want to be alone in a new place
- Maybe you keep up morale by just being hopeful
- can you somehow show that there are people who are taking steps to materially care for and support trans and other lgbta people in Florida?
What can You do?
Because you are not nearly as powerless as they want you to believe, especially with some help.
" Your enemies aren't other queer people with labels you don't like. Those are your allies. Because you know who else doesn't like them?

I just wanted to point this itsy bitsy part out. because some people need to fucking listen to it.
This ENTIRE post is worth listening to, it doesn't matter if your trans, or not. Please just fucking listen. For the queer kids and teens and for the adults and drag queens that are scared. Nobody should be scared to die. Not just in florida either.
A quick look at anti trans talking points right now will reveal that they've been under the wrong impression of what 'gender affirming care' is, particularly for minors. You will hear that children should not be on puberty blockers when they're as young as 7 because they're not old enough to make that decision yet. The truth is that you dont get prescribed puberty blockers until you're in the 2nd stage (of 5) of puberty.
The reality doesnt make for snappy slogans or interesting news headers: the majority of gender affirming care at ANY age are social and mental. Having a safe person to express gender to, dressing in a way that reflects your gender, mental health resources, support from the community.
But they want people to believe that the evil transes are making it legal to have surgery when you're 10.
This article does a decent (if a bit dry) job of painting the reality of what gender affirming care for young persons actually is, and why its important.
Tw on the article for depression, self harm, suicide.
Facebook and google are helping cops prosecute people seeking abortion. Be very careful in this new era people.
not so long ago there was this "dragon your train" trend where people were turning trains into tragons and i had to dragonify (although it went more into the centipede direction) my favourite cringefail (affectionate) train which is EN57 aka Kibel
Heres them performing an rp1 signal!!! (volume warning trains be loud)
